The Golden Half Camera from Superheadz (Japan)

Chia & Cherie got me this for my birthday (even tho' i wasn't here) & surprised me w it last nite. Thxx girls!! I love love loveee it! :) I foresee many a fun times w it. Been playing w it over the weekend & I can't wait to see how the pictures turn out! I'm bringing it w me to our next hangout! Plus it uses the usual 35mm film, so that's gonna be waayy more convenient than my holga. Speaking of which, we should modify our holga, hun!

It's been a week or so since I got back from Europe & I've been getting back into the groove of things here...I miss the place so much! But hey, I'll be back again soon. So anyhow, these days have been spent catching up w everyone, hangin out...contemplating my future...& well, basking in all things home.

Had lunch w the folks today @ arab st., & we were just walkin around after when we chanced upon one of the quaintiest little 'shophouse museums'. I can't remember what it said on the outside, but i think there was a small sign which read 'Old Singapore Toys' or smthin.

So we walked in, & lo' & behold...the place was filled with all kinds of cool old-school Singapore memorabilia u could imagine. I felt like we were transported back in time to Singapore in the mid- 1900's...

old pictures on the wallthis old-school chinese vinyl record was playing when we stepped in & it echoed throughout the shop...It sure was eerie...
but i loved it.

The last exam in my university life flashes before me.
I can't believe time has passed this quickly & that in a couple of mths, I'll be out of this comfort zone of professors, friends/gossip girl cliques & the knowledge troughs of small classrooms.

As of right now, I still haven't the slightest clue as to where my life will take me. I have yet to decide which path to tread; or which door to open. Will i study? Will i work? Will i do both?

Does everyone have a plan in life? Everyone?

How?
Pecha Kucha's patented system: 20 slides, each shown for 20 seconds
Total Minutes of Fame: 6 minutes 40 seconds
This makes for concise presentations, high interest levels and greater speaker coverage.

Today, devoid of the bs hardsell, Pecha Kucha has spread virally to over 100 cities across the world.

That brings us to the real thing.

For its virgin debut, I thought Pecha Kucha Night Singapore was sensational. Presenters were for the most part, arresting and some, provocative. (What less could you expect from the creative society right?)

My ears perked especially for Graham who did a firestarting piece on "Creativity & Education" - the only presenter i felt truly stuck to the brand of Pecha Kucha & successfully so; Andrew who was all things gay & fab, who tantalized us with his "5 Things I Hate about MTV" (hopefully his talent outweighs the consequences of his balls); Steve who showed us his stunning & eccentric "Work & Inspirations"; and Hjgher who transported us through their short story/film into the colours within darkness.
